Moore was one of the four writer-performers in the influential satirical comedy revue Beyond the Fringe, which ran from nineteen sixty to nineteen sixty-four, setting the stage for his illustrious career.

In collaboration with fellow performer Peter Cook, Moore co-created the BBC television series Not Only... But Also, which aired from nineteen sixty-five to nineteen seventy.
