Duke Keats, born on March 21, 1895, was a prominent Canadian ice hockey centre whose career spanned from 1915 to 1929. He made a significant impact in the world of ice hockey, playing for several teams including the Toronto Blueshirts in the National Hockey Association, the Edmonton Eskimos in the Western Canada Hockey League, and the Boston Bruins, Detroit Cougars, and Chicago Black Hawks in the National Hockey League.
Keats is perhaps best remembered for his remarkable tenure in the WCHL, where he was honored as a First-Team All-Star in each of the league's five seasons. His exceptional skills on the ice helped lead the Eskimos to a league championship and a memorable appearance in the 1923 Stanley Cup Finals.
