Dunga

Carlos Caetano Bledorn Verri, widely known as Dunga, was born on October thirty-first, nineteen sixty-three. A prominent figure in Brazilian football, he has made his mark as a player, journalist, and coach. Renowned for his exceptional skills, Dunga is often regarded as one of the greatest defensive midfielders in the history of the sport. His playing style was characterized by remarkable technique, athleticism, a diverse passing range, and solid defensive capabilities.

As a player, Dunga captained the Brazilian national team to victory in the nineteen ninety-four FIFA World Cup, taking over the captaincy from Raí. Under his leadership, Brazil not only clinched the World Cup title but also finished as runners-up in the subsequent tournament. His unique achievement places him alongside Xavi as one of the only individuals to have participated in a World Cup final, an Olympic final, a Confederations Cup final, and a continental championship final.

Dunga's coaching career with the Brazilian national team spanned two separate tenures. His first stint was marked by significant success, leading the Seleção to triumph in the two thousand seven Copa América and the two thousand nine FIFA Confederations Cup, as well as securing an Olympic bronze medal at the Beijing two thousand eight games. However, this period ended with Brazil's exit in the quarter-finals of the two thousand ten FIFA World Cup.

In two thousand fourteen, Dunga was reappointed by the Brazilian Football Confederation, but his second tenure was short-lived, concluding after Brazil's disappointing early exit from the Copa América Centenario.
