Đuro Macut, born on November twenty-second, nineteen sixty-three, in Belgrade, is a distinguished Serbian endocrinologist and academic. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in nineteen eighty-nine and later earned his doctorate from the same institution. Macut's career began in the medical field as an endocrinologist and researcher, eventually leading him to become a professor of internal medicine and endocrinology at the Faculty of Medicine in two thousand thirteen.

In April twenty twenty-five, Macut was nominated by President Aleksandar Vučić to serve as the Prime Minister of Serbia, marking a significant milestone in his career as he became the third independent politician to hold this position. Although politically inexperienced, he quickly made his mark by becoming one of the founding members of the Movement for the People and the State, a political initiative launched in March twenty twenty-five.

As Prime Minister, Macut prioritized addressing the education crisis that arose from anti-corruption protests, successfully collaborating with University of Belgrade rector Vladan Đokić. This achievement was hailed as one of his major tasks in office. Additionally, his government took significant steps to reform the Law on Textbooks and increased the minimum wage within his first one hundred days in office.
