Earl Boykins, born on June second, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished American basketball coach and former professional player. Standing at just five feet five inches, he is recognized as the second-shortest player in NBA history, a title he shares with the legendary Muggsy Bogues. Over the course of his impressive thirteen-season career in the National Basketball Association, Boykins showcased his talent with several teams, including the New Jersey Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Bobcats, Washington Wizards, and Houston Rockets.

In addition to his NBA journey, Boykins also made his mark in the Continental Basketball Association and played overseas in Italy, further broadening his basketball experience. His versatility and skill on the court have made him a respected figure in the basketball community.

Transitioning from player to coach, Boykins began his coaching career as the head coach for the Douglas County High School boys varsity basketball team from two thousand thirteen to two thousand nineteen. His coaching journey continued as he took on the role of assistant coach for the UTEP Miners from two thousand twenty-one to two thousand twenty-five.

In two thousand twenty-five, Boykins joined the USC Trojans men's basketball team as an assistant coach, where he continues to influence and develop the next generation of basketball talent.
