Eazy-E

Eric Lynn Wright, born on September 7, 1964, in Compton, California, is celebrated as Eazy-E, a pivotal figure in the evolution of West Coast rap and gangsta rap. As the founder of Ruthless Records and a key member of the groundbreaking group N.W.A, he earned the title of the 'Godfather of Gangsta Rap.' His influence on the genre is undeniable, having shaped the sound and culture of hip-hop during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Before establishing Ruthless Records in nineteen eighty-seven, Wright faced numerous legal challenges. His career took off with N.W.A, which he formed alongside Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Arabian Prince. The group made waves with their debut album, 'N.W.A. and the Posse,' in nineteen eighty-seven, but it was their second album, 'Straight Outta Compton,' released in nineteen eighty-nine, that solidified their legacy. This controversial album is now regarded as one of the greatest and most influential records in music history.

Despite the group's success, internal conflicts arose, particularly over financial disputes, leading to the disbandment of N.W.A. Eazy-E's solo career continued with the release of two EPs, but he remained a significant force behind the scenes, notably signing and promoting the rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony between nineteen ninety-three and nineteen ninety-four.
