Ecaterina Teodoroiu

Ecaterina Teodoroiu was a remarkable Romanian woman who made her mark as a military personnel during World War I. Born on January fourteenth in the year two, she initially served as a nurse, providing care to the wounded. However, her experiences on the battlefield and the profound patriotism displayed by those she tended to inspired her to take a bold step into the front lines.

Her decision to become a soldier was not typical for women of her time, especially following the tragic loss of her brother, Nicolae, a sergeant in the Romanian Army.
