Ed de Goey

Eduard Franciscus de Goeij, widely known as Ed de Goey, was born on December 20, 1966. He is a distinguished Dutch football coach and a former professional player, renowned for his skills as a goalkeeper. With a career spanning two decades, de Goey has made significant contributions to the sport both on and off the field.

Throughout his playing career, de Goey showcased his talent at several prominent clubs, including Sparta Rotterdam, Feyenoord, Chelsea, and Stoke City. His impressive performances earned him a place in the Netherlands national team, where he made thirty-one appearances, representing his country with pride.

After retiring from professional play, Ed de Goey transitioned into coaching and is currently the goalkeeping coach for VOC Rotterdam, a club competing in the Vierde Divisie. His extensive experience and knowledge of the game continue to influence the next generation of footballers.
