Edmílson

José Edmílson Gomes de Moraes, known simply as Edmílson, was born on July 10, 1976. He is a distinguished Brazilian football executive and a former professional footballer who has made significant contributions to the sport both on and off the field.

Throughout his career, Edmílson showcased his versatility as either a defensive midfielder or a central defender. He played for renowned clubs in three different countries, achieving remarkable success with São Paulo, Lyon, and Barcelona, where he spent four seasons at each club.

On the international stage, Edmílson earned thirty-nine caps for the Brazilian national team. His most notable achievement came during the 2002 World Cup, where he played a pivotal role in helping Brazil secure the championship title.
