Edmund Szoka

Edmund Szoka, born on September fourteenth, nineteen twenty-seven, was a distinguished American Catholic prelate whose contributions to the Church spanned several decades. He was known for his leadership roles, including serving as the president of the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State and the Governorate of Vatican City State from nineteen ninety-seven to two thousand six.

He was the bishop of Gaylord, Michigan, from nineteen seventy-one to nineteen eighty-one, and later became the archbishop of Detroit, serving from nineteen eighty-one to nineteen ninety.
