Édouard Vuillard

Édouard Vuillard, born on November eleventh, eighteen sixty-eight, was a prominent French painter, decorative artist, and printmaker. He was a key figure in the avant-garde artistic group known as Les Nabis from eighteen ninety-one to nineteen hundred, where he developed a distinctive style characterized by the use of pure color. His works often depicted intimate interior scenes, drawing inspiration from Japanese prints, and showcased the spatial effects of flattened planes of color, pattern, and form.
