Eduard Heger

Eduard Heger, born on May third, nineteen seventy-six, is a prominent Slovak politician known for his significant contributions to the country's governance. He held the esteemed position of Prime Minister of Slovakia from April first, two thousand twenty-one, until May fifteenth, two thousand twenty-three. His leadership during this period was marked by various challenges and achievements that shaped the political landscape of Slovakia.

Before ascending to the role of Prime Minister, Heger served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance under the cabinet of Igor Matovič. His tenure in these roles showcased his expertise in financial matters and his commitment to public service, earning him respect within the political community.

Heger was an active member of the presidium of the Ordinary People and Independent Personalities (OĽaNO) party, where he played a crucial role in shaping party policies and strategies. However, in March two thousand twenty-three, he made a pivotal decision to leave OĽaNO to lead the extra-parliamentary Blue Coalition party, which he subsequently rebranded as Democrats, signaling a new chapter in his political career.
