Eduardo Vargas, born on November 20, 1989, is a prominent Chilean professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for Universidad de Chile in the Chilean Primera División. His journey in football began at Cobreloa, where he showcased his exceptional talent, leading to a significant move to Universidad de Chile.

During his time with Universidad de Chile, Vargas achieved remarkable success, winning three titles, including the prestigious Copa Sudamericana in 2011, where he was honored as the player of the tournament. His outstanding performances that year earned him co-recognition as the Chilean Footballer of the Year and a runner-up position for the South American Footballer of the Year.
