Edwin Frederick O'Brien

Edwin Frederick O'Brien, born on April eighth, nineteen thirty-eight, is a distinguished American Catholic theologian and priest. His extensive career in the Church has seen him take on significant leadership roles, most notably as the head of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre from two thousand eleven to two thousand nineteen.

O'Brien's journey in ecclesiastical service includes his tenure as the Archbishop of Baltimore in Maryland from two thousand seven to two thousand eleven. Prior to that, he served as the Archbishop of the Military Services, USA, in Washington, D.C. from nineteen ninety-seven to two thousand seven, where he provided spiritual guidance to military personnel and their families.

His early years in the hierarchy of the Church saw him as an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of New York from nineteen ninety-six to nineteen ninety-seven.
