Ekpe Udoh

Ekpe Udoh, born on May twentieth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a distinguished Nigerian-American basketball coach and former player. Currently serving as an assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks in the National Basketball Association (NBA), Udoh has made significant contributions to the sport both on and off the court.

Udoh's basketball journey began in college, where he showcased his skills with the Michigan Wolverines before transferring to the Baylor Bears. During his time at Baylor in the two thousand nine to two thousand ten season, he emerged as the Big 12 Conference's leading shot blocker, a testament to his defensive prowess. His impressive performance led to his selection as the sixth overall pick by the Golden State Warriors in the two thousand ten NBA draft.

With a remarkable wingspan of seven feet four and a half inches, Udoh's defensive capabilities were further highlighted during his collegiate career. He previously led the Big Ten Conference in blocked shots while playing for Michigan, averaging two point nine blocks per game in the two thousand seven to two thousand eight season. His international career flourished as well, earning him two selections to the All-EuroLeague Team and leading Fenerbahçe to a EuroLeague title in two thousand seventeen, where he was honored as the EuroLeague Final Four MVP.

In addition to his club success, Udoh has represented Nigeria on the international stage, being selected for the senior national team for both the two thousand nineteen FIBA World Cup and the two thousand twenty Olympic Games.
