Elano

Elano Blumer, born on June 14, 1981, is a distinguished Brazilian football coach and former player, renowned for his role as an attacking midfielder. Currently, he serves as the youth football manager of Santos, where he began his illustrious career.

Elano's professional journey took him across continents, starting at Santos before he ventured into European football. His six-year stint included notable clubs such as Shakhtar Donetsk, Manchester City, and Galatasaray. After returning to Santos in two thousand eleven, he also played for Grêmio and Flamengo, ultimately becoming a marquee player for Chennaiyin in the Indian Super League.

On the international stage, Elano represented Brazil fifty times between two thousand four and two thousand eleven, netting nine goals. He was part of the national team during their victories in the two thousand seven Copa América and the two thousand nine FIFA Confederations Cup, and he also showcased his talent at the two thousand ten FIFA World Cup and the two thousand eleven Copa América.

After hanging up his boots, Elano transitioned into coaching in two thousand twenty, continuing his passion for football and nurturing the next generation of players.
