Elena Likhovtseva

Elena Likhovtseva, born on September eighth, nineteen seventy-five, is a former professional tennis player who made her mark in the sport after turning pro in January nineteen ninety-two at the young age of sixteen. Originally from Kazakhstan, she later represented Russia on the international stage.

Throughout her career, Likhovtseva achieved significant success in mixed doubles competitions. She clinched the prestigious Wimbledon Mixed Doubles title in two thousand two alongside partner Mahesh Bhupathi. Her prowess continued as she triumphed at the Australian Open mixed-doubles championship in two thousand seven with Daniel Nestor.

In addition to her mixed doubles victories, Likhovtseva was a formidable competitor in women's doubles, reaching the finals of several major tournaments. Notably, she was a runner-up at the US Open in two thousand and four, as well as in two thousand, and also made it to the finals of the French Open mixed doubles in two thousand three and two thousand six.
