Eliaquim Mangala

Eliaquim Mangala, born on February 13, 1991, is a distinguished French professional footballer who currently plays as a centre-back for Oriente Petrolero. His journey in football began in Belgium, where he moved as a child and started his career at Standard Liège.

In 2011, Mangala made a significant move to Porto, where he enjoyed remarkable success, winning consecutive Primeira Liga titles. His impressive performances caught the attention of Manchester City, leading to a transfer in 2014 for a fee of thirty-two million pounds. During his time at City, he made seventy-nine appearances and was part of the squad that clinched the Premier League title in the 2017–18 season.

Throughout his career, Mangala has also experienced loan spells at Valencia and Everton, ultimately returning to Valencia on a free transfer in 2019. His international career with the France national team began on June 6, 2013, when he made his debut against Uruguay.

He was selected for the national squads for both the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2016, where he made a substitute appearance, showcasing his talent on the international stage.
