Dr. Elizabeth "Liz" Ashton, born on March sixteenth, nineteen fifty, is a distinguished figure in the world of equestrian sports, particularly known for her remarkable contributions to eventing. As a member of the Canadian Equestrian Team, she gained prominence as the captain of the gold medal-winning team at the nineteen seventy-eight Eventing World Championship, a significant achievement that showcased her leadership and skill in the sport.

In addition to her championship success, Ashton was selected to represent Canada at the nineteen eighty Summer Olympics.
