She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Jessie Spano in the iconic television series Saved by the Bell, a role she reprised in the show's reboot on Peacock in twenty twenty, where she also took on the role of producer.

In addition to her television success, Berkley starred as Nomi Malone in the controversial film Showgirls, which has since become a cult classic. Her film career includes notable supporting roles in box office hits such as The First Wives Club and Any Given Sunday, as well as appearances in The Curse of the Jade Scorpion and Roger Dodger.
