Elliot Page

Elliot Page, born on February 21, 1987, is a prominent Canadian actor, producer, and activist known for his compelling performances in both Canadian and American film and television. He first gained recognition through his role in the television series Pit Pony (1997–2000) and later appeared in notable series such as Trailer Park Boys (2002) and ReGenesis (2004). Page's breakthrough came with his acclaimed performances in Hard Candy (2005) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), solidifying his status in the entertainment industry.

His portrayal of the title character in the critically acclaimed film Juno (2007) earned him an Academy Award nomination, making him the fourth-youngest nominee for Best Actress at that time. Page's impressive filmography includes roles in Whip It (2009), Super (2010), Inception (2010), X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), Tallulah (2016), and Close to You (2023). In addition to acting, he produced and starred in Freeheld (2015), hosted the documentary series Gaycation (2016–2017), and directed There's Something in the Water (2019).

Beyond his artistic contributions, Page is a passionate advocate for LGBTQ rights and has been vocal against discrimination. He publicly came out as a lesbian in 2014 and was honored with the Human Rights Campaign Vanguard Award in 2015. In 2020, he came out as a trans man, adopting the name Elliot, and made history as the first openly transgender man to grace the cover of Time magazine in March 2021.

Page's activism extends to various social issues, including abortion rights and the Me Too movement. A pro-choice feminist and vegan, he has also called for the end of military dictatorship in Myanmar. His dedication to both his craft and social justice continues to inspire many around the world.
