Else-Marthe Sørlie Lybekk, born on September eleventh, nineteen seventy-eight, is a distinguished Norwegian sports executive and a former team handball player. She made her mark in the world of sports as a world champion in nineteen ninety-nine and achieved remarkable success at the Olympic Games, securing a gold medal in the two thousand eight Summer Olympics in Beijing and a bronze medal in the two thousand Olympics.
Throughout her illustrious career, Else-Marthe was a key player for the Norwegian national team, where she not only contributed to their success but also captained the team before Gro Hammerseng took over. She is celebrated for being the only player to have received all five gold medals that the national team won leading up to the two thousand eight Olympics, showcasing her pivotal role in the team's history.
