Elvis Merzļikins

Elvis Merzļikins, born on April thirteenth, nineteen ninety-four, is a distinguished Latvian professional ice hockey player who currently serves as a goaltender for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Before making his mark in the NHL, Merzļikins honed his skills in Switzerland, where he played for HC Lugano. His exceptional performance on the ice earned him the prestigious Jacques Plante Trophy, awarded to the best goaltender in the National League, in both two thousand sixteen and two thousand eighteen.

Drafted seventy-sixth overall by the Blue Jackets in the two thousand fourteen NHL entry draft, Merzļikins made the significant transition to North America in two thousand nineteen, where he made his NHL debut that same year.

On the international stage, Merzļikins has proudly represented Latvia at both junior and senior levels, participating in various tournaments and showcasing his talent on a global platform.
