Often referred to as 'the godfather of Detroit boxing,' Steward's legacy is marked by his remarkable ability to nurture talent, having trained a staggering forty-one world champion fighters throughout his illustrious career.

Steward's influence in the boxing community was most notably felt through the famous Kronk Gym, where he honed the skills of legendary fighters such as Thomas Hearns.
