Emiliano Moretti, born on June 11, 1981, is a distinguished former Italian professional footballer renowned for his role as a centre back. His football journey commenced at Lodigiani, where his talent caught the attention of Fiorentina, leading to his signing in 1998. Moretti made his Serie A debut in March 2001 under the guidance of Roberto Mancini, marking the beginning of a remarkable career.
Throughout his career, Moretti showcased his skills at several prominent clubs, including Juventus, Modena, Parma, and Bologna. In 2004, he made a significant move to Valencia, where he celebrated victory in the Copa del Rey during the 2007–08 season. After a successful stint in Spain, he returned to Italy in 2009, joining Genoa, where he played for four seasons before signing with Torino in August 2013.
