Emilio Butragueño

Emilio Butragueño, born on July 22, 1963, is a celebrated former Spanish footballer renowned for his exceptional skills as a striker. His illustrious career is most notably marked by his time at Real Madrid, where he earned the affectionate nickname 'El Buitre' or 'The Vulture'.

As a key member of the legendary group known as La Quinta del Buitre, Butragueño played alongside other football greats such as Manolo Sanchís, Rafael Martín Vázquez, Míchel, and Miguel Pardeza. Together, they left an indelible mark on Spanish football.

Over the course of twelve seasons with Real Madrid, Butragueño made a significant impact, netting one hundred twenty-three goals in three hundred forty-one La Liga appearances. His prowess on the field also extended to international play, where he represented Spain in two World Cups, notably finishing as the second-top scorer in the 1986 tournament.
