Emilio Izaguirre

Emilio Izaguirre, born on May 10, 1986, is a distinguished former professional footballer from Honduras, renowned for his role as a left-back. His football journey began at Motagua, where he dedicated seven years of his career, showcasing his talent and commitment to the club.

In 2010, Izaguirre made a significant move to Scotland, joining Celtic for a transfer fee of six hundred fifty thousand pounds. His inaugural season in the Scottish Premier League was nothing short of spectacular, as he clinched three prestigious awards: the SPFA Players' Player of the Year, the SFWA Footballer of the Year, and the Scottish Premier League Player of the Year.

During his time at Celtic, Izaguirre made over 250 appearances across all competitions, contributing to the team's success by winning six consecutive league titles in his first spell. He later returned to the club for a second spell, adding another league title to his impressive accolades.
