Emmanuel III Delly

Emmanuel III Delly, born on October twenty-sixth, nineteen twenty-seven, in Tel Keppe, was a distinguished Iraqi Catholic prelate. He dedicated his life to the service of the Chaldean Catholic Church, an Eastern Catholic sui juris particular church of the Catholic Church. His journey began when he was ordained a priest on December twenty-first, nineteen fifty-two, marking the start of a profound commitment to his faith and community.

In December nineteen sixty-two, at the age of thirty-five, he was consecrated as a bishop, a pivotal moment that set the stage for his future leadership within the Church. His dedication and leadership qualities were recognized when he was elected as the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church on December third, two thousand three, succeeding the late Patriarch Raphael I Bidawid.

Emmanuel III Delly's influence extended beyond his role as Patriarch; he was elevated to the rank of cardinal on November twenty-fourth, two thousand seven.
