Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum, born on September 12, 1986, in New York City, is a multifaceted American actress and singer-songwriter. She began her artistic journey at a young age, performing with the Metropolitan Opera, which laid the foundation for her illustrious career in both film and television.

Rossum's early on-screen appearances included notable films such as Genius (1999), Songcatcher (2000), and Passionada (2002). However, it was her role in Mystic River (2003) that marked her breakthrough, showcasing her talent to a wider audience. She gained further acclaim for her portrayal of Christine Daaé in the 2004 film adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera, a performance that solidified her status in Hollywood.

In addition to her film work, Rossum is widely recognized for her role as Fiona Gallagher in the acclaimed television series Shameless, which aired from 2011 to 2019.
