Emraan Hashmi, born on March 24, 1979, is a prominent Indian film actor known for his compelling performances in Hindi cinema. Initially recognized for his bold scenes, Hashmi has evolved into one of the most unconventional actors in the industry, earning four Filmfare Award nominations throughout his career.
Before stepping into the limelight, Hashmi worked as an assistant director on the 2002 horror film Raaz. By 2004, he had firmly established himself as a leading actor with a string of successful thrillers, including Murder, Zeher, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Kalyug, Aksar, and Gangster. Despite facing a few setbacks with underperforming films, he made a significant comeback with the acclaimed action drama Awarapan in 2007.
The year 2008 marked a pivotal moment in Hashmi's career when he portrayed a conman in the crime drama Jannat.
