Enda Kenny

Enda Kenny, born on April twenty-four, nineteen fifty-one, is a distinguished former politician and school teacher from Ireland. He is best known for his tenure as Taoiseach, a position he held from two thousand eleven to two thousand seventeen. As a member of the Fine Gael party, Kenny's political journey began in nineteen seventy-five when he was elected as Teachta Dála (TD) for Mayo West, a role he maintained until nineteen ninety-seven, after which he represented Mayo until two thousand twenty.

Kenny's leadership of Fine Gael began in two thousand two, and he led the party to a historic victory in the two thousand eleven general election, marking the first time Fine Gael became the largest party in Ireland. This success enabled him to form a coalition government with the Labour Party on March ninth, two thousand eleven.
