Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Enele Sopoaga

Enele Sopoaga, born on February tenth, nineteen fifty-six, is a prominent Tuvaluan diplomat and politician who served as the Prime Minister of Tuvalu from two thousand thirteen to two thousand nineteen. His political journey began with his election to Parliament during the two thousand ten general election, where he quickly rose to prominence.

In the brief government of Prime Minister Maatia Toafa, Sopoaga held the positions of deputy prime minister and minister for foreign affairs, the environment, and labour from September to December two thousand ten. Following an unsuccessful attempt to secure the premiership in December of the same year, he took on the role of leader of the Opposition against Prime Minister Willy Telavi's administration.

On August first, two thousand thirteen, Sopoaga became the caretaker prime minister after the Governor General removed Telavi amid a political crisis. The very next day, the opposition successfully ousted Telavi's government through a no confidence vote. Subsequently, a ballot was conducted to elect the new prime minister, and Sopoaga emerged victorious with eight votes to four.

He was officially sworn in on August fifth, two thousand thirteen, and on the same day, he established his ministry, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Tuvalu's political landscape.
