Enrique Iglesias

Enrique Iglesias, born on May 8, 1975, is a renowned Spanish singer and songwriter who has captivated audiences worldwide. He began his recording career in the mid-1990s with the Mexican label Fonovisa, where he released three Spanish albums: Enrique Iglesias, Vivir, and Cosas del Amor. His remarkable talent quickly established him as the bestselling Spanish-language act of the decade.

As the new millennium approached, Iglesias successfully transitioned into the mainstream English-language market. He signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group worth sixty-eight million dollars, collaborating with Interscope Records to produce a series of hit English albums, including Enrique, Escape, 7, and Insomniac. During this period, he also released Spanish albums such as Quizás and 95/08 Éxitos under Universal Music Latin.

In 2010, Iglesias made a strategic move by parting ways with Interscope Records and signing with another Universal Music Group label, Republic Records. This partnership led to the release of two successful bilingual albums, Euphoria and Sex and Love. In October 2022, he was honored as the Top Latin Artist of All Time at the Latin Billboard Awards, solidifying his status as the King of Latin Pop.

Additionally, Iglesias boasts fourteen number-ones on Billboard's Dance charts, more than any other male artist. In December 2016, Billboard magazine recognized him as the fourteenth most successful and top male dance club artist of all time, further highlighting his significant impact on the music industry.
