Éric Bernard, born on August twenty-four, nineteen sixty-four, in Martigues, is a distinguished former French racing driver known for his tenure in Formula One from nineteen eighty-nine to nineteen ninety-four. His journey into the world of motorsport began at the tender age of thirteen, where he quickly made a name for himself in competitive kart racing, securing several national titles.

After honing his skills at the prestigious Winfield Racing School located at Paul Ricard, Bernard transitioned to Formula Renault, showcasing his talent and determination. He made his Formula One debut at the French Grand Prix in nineteen eighty-nine, driving for the Larrousse team, where he competed until nineteen ninety-one.

In nineteen ninety-four, Bernard made a return to Formula One with the Ligier team, where he achieved a significant milestone by securing his only podium finish at the German Grand Prix. His final appearance in the sport came at the European Grand Prix with Lotus, marking the end of his Formula One career.
