Eric Stewart

Eric Stewart, born on January twentieth, nineteen forty-five, is a distinguished English singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He is celebrated for his role as a founding member of the rock bands the Mindbenders and 10cc, contributing significantly to the music scene from the early sixties through the nineties.

Stewart's musical journey began with the Mindbenders, where he showcased his talents from nineteen sixty-three to nineteen sixty-eight. He later co-founded 10cc, a band that would become iconic in the rock genre, remaining with them from nineteen seventy-two until nineteen ninety-five. His contributions to these groups have left an indelible mark on the industry.

In addition to his work with these bands, Stewart co-owned Strawberry Studios in Stockport, England, from nineteen sixty-eight to the early eighties. This studio became a hub for creativity, where he recorded not only with 10cc but also with renowned artists such as Neil Sedaka and Paul McCartney.

Stewart's collaboration with McCartney in the eighties was particularly fruitful, as he played on and co-wrote several tracks for McCartney's solo albums, including Tug of War, Pipes of Peace, Give My Regards to Broad Street, and Press to Play. His influence and artistry have continued to resonate through his solo work, with four studio albums released since nineteen eighty.
