Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Eric Swalwell

Eric Swalwell, born on November sixteenth, nineteen eighty, in Sac City, Iowa, is a prominent American lawyer and politician. Raised in Dublin, California, he became a first-generation college student, initially attending Campbell University on a soccer scholarship. He later earned degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where he also engaged in local governance as a student liaison to the College Park City Council and interned for U.S. Representative Ellen Tauscher.

After completing law school, Swalwell returned to California, where he served as a deputy district attorney in Alameda County. His political career began with his appointment to various municipal commissions in Dublin, followed by a two-year tenure on the Dublin City Council. In two thousand twelve, he made headlines by defeating the long-standing incumbent Pete Stark to secure a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing California's fifteenth district.

Since taking office, Swalwell has been an active member of the Democratic Party, co-chairing the House Democratic Steering Committee since two thousand seventeen. He represented the fifteenth district until two thousand twenty-three, when he transitioned to represent the fourteenth district, which encompasses much of eastern Alameda County. In addition to his congressional duties, Swalwell made a bid for the presidency in the two thousand twenty Democratic primaries before endorsing Joe Biden and is now setting his sights on the governorship of California for the two thousand twenty-six election.
