Erlend Øye

Erlend Øye, born on November twenty-first, nineteen seventy-five, is a multifaceted Norwegian musician hailing from Bergen. He is widely recognized as one half of the indie folk duo Kings of Convenience, alongside Eirik Glambek Bøe. Their harmonious melodies and intricate arrangements have garnered a dedicated following, establishing them as a significant presence in the indie music scene.

In addition to his work with Kings of Convenience, Øye is the front-man for the band The Whitest Boy Alive, showcasing his versatility as a performer. His collaborations extend beyond his own projects, as he has contributed to tracks by notable electronic artists such as Dntel and the Norwegian duo Röyksopp, further highlighting his diverse musical influences.

Øye is also a co-founder of Bubbles Records, an independent label that supports innovative music. Since two thousand twelve, he has made Sicily his home, where he has been actively performing with the trio La Comitiva, blending his unique sound with the vibrant culture of the region.
