Ernest Manning

Ernest Manning, born on September twentieth, nineteen oh eight, was a prominent Canadian politician who served as the eighth premier of Alberta from nineteen forty-three to nineteen sixty-eight. Representing the Social Credit Party of Alberta, he holds the record for the longest tenure as premier in the province's history, serving for an impressive twenty-five years. His time in office also places him as the second longest-serving provincial premier in Canadian history, following George Henry Murray of Nova Scotia.

During his premiership, Manning was characterized by his strong commitment to social and fiscal conservatism. His leadership style and policies significantly shaped Alberta's political landscape, reflecting the values of the Social Credit Party.
