Ernesto Mascheroni

Ernesto Mascheroni, born on November twenty-first, nineteen oh seven, in Montevideo, Uruguay, was a distinguished footballer and coach. Renowned for his defensive prowess, he primarily played as a left-back, showcasing his skills on both national and international stages.

Mascheroni's international career with the Uruguay national team spanned from nineteen twenty-nine to nineteen thirty-nine, during which he earned thirteen caps. Notably, he was part of the historic squad that triumphed in the inaugural FIFA World Cup in nineteen thirty, marking a significant milestone in football history.

In nineteen thirty-four, Mascheroni relocated to Italy, where he joined Ambrosiana, now known as Inter Milan, and played until nineteen thirty-six. His time in Italy was marked by his representation of the Italy national team, where he participated in two matches and contributed to winning the Central European International Cup from nineteen thirty-three to nineteen thirty-five.

After his stint in Italy, Mascheroni returned to Uruguay, where he played for C.A. Peñarol from nineteen thirty-six to nineteen forty. His legacy continued until his passing in July nineteen eighty-four at the age of seventy-six, when he was recognized as the last surviving member of Uruguay's legendary nineteen thirty World Cup winning team.
