Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Ernst Kaltenbrunner

Ernst Kaltenbrunner, born on October fourth, nineteen oh three, was a prominent Austrian figure during the Nazi regime, known for his high-ranking position within the SS. His political and legal career was marked by a deep commitment to the ideologies of the Nazi Party, which he joined in nineteen thirty. By nineteen thirty-one, he had become a member of the SS, and by nineteen thirty-five, he was recognized as a leader within the Austrian SS.

In nineteen thirty-eight, Kaltenbrunner played a significant role in the Anschluss, the annexation of Austria into Nazi Germany, and subsequently took command of the SS and police forces in Austria. His ascent continued, and in January nineteen forty-three, he was appointed as the third Chief of the Reich Security Main Office (RSHA), succeeding Reinhard Heydrich after his assassination in May nineteen forty-two. This position placed him at the helm of the Gestapo, Kripo, and SD, where he wielded considerable power until the conclusion of World War II in Europe.

A staunch antisemite, Kaltenbrunner was instrumental in the orchestration of the Holocaust, overseeing the coordination of various security and law enforcement agencies involved in the systematic extermination of Jews and other targeted groups. His leadership intensified the brutal efforts of arrests, deportations, and executions, as well as the suppression of resistance movements in occupied territories.

Following the war, Kaltenbrunner became the highest-ranking SS official to stand trial at the Nuremberg trials, as Heinrich Himmler had taken his own life in May nineteen forty-five. Found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity, he was sentenced to death and executed by hanging on October sixteenth, nineteen forty-six.
