Ersin Tatar

Ersin Tatar, born on September seventh, nineteen sixty, is a prominent Turkish Cypriot politician who has made significant contributions to the political landscape of Northern Cyprus. He served as the fifth President of Northern Cyprus from two thousand twenty until two thousand twenty-five, marking a pivotal period in the region's governance.

Before ascending to the presidency, Tatar held the position of the fourth Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus. His tenure as Prime Minister followed the collapse of Tufan Erhürman's coalition government in two thousand nineteen, showcasing his ability to navigate the complexities of political leadership during challenging times.

In addition to his roles in government, Tatar was the leader of the National Unity Party (UBP) and served as the Leader of the Opposition from two thousand eighteen until his election as president. His leadership within the party and the opposition has been instrumental in shaping the political discourse in Northern Cyprus.
