Erzsébet Kocsis, born on March eleventh, nineteen sixty-five, is a distinguished Hungarian former handball player who has made significant contributions to the sport. Currently serving as the technical director of Dunaújvárosi NKS, she has left an indelible mark on handball both on and off the court.

Her illustrious career includes being honored as the IHF World Player of the Year in nineteen ninety-five by the International Handball Federation. Kocsis represented the Hungarian national team from nineteen eighty-six to nineteen ninety-six, earning one hundred twenty-five caps and securing a bronze medal at the nineteen ninety-six Summer Olympics, along with a silver medal at the nineteen ninety-five World Championship.

At the club level, Kocsis achieved remarkable success with Dunaújváros, clinching all three major continental titles. She first triumphed in the EHF Cup Winners' Cup in nineteen ninety-five, followed by the EHF Cup in nineteen ninety-nine, and ultimately the prestigious EHF Champions League in nineteen ninety-nine. Although she retired from professional handball in two thousand, her passion for the game led her back to the court in two thousand nine to assist her former team in avoiding relegation during a challenging period.

Off the court, Erzsébet is married to Árpád Sári, a former handball player himself. Together, they have a daughter, Barbara Sári, who has followed in her mother's footsteps and is also a professional handball player, continuing the family's legacy in the sport.
