Esther Ofarim

Esther Ofarim, born Esther Zaied on June 13, 1941, is a celebrated Israeli singer whose career has spanned several decades. She first gained international recognition in 1963 when she represented Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in a remarkable second place with her poignant performance of "T'en va pas." This achievement marked the beginning of her journey into the global music scene.

In 1958, Esther married Abi Ofarim, and together they formed the folk duo Esther & Abi Ofarim, captivating audiences with their harmonious blend of voices throughout the 1960s. Their partnership not only showcased their musical talents but also solidified their status as a prominent act in the folk music genre during that era.
