Eugen Bejinariu

Eugen Bejinariu, born on January twenty-eighth, nineteen fifty-nine, is a prominent Romanian politician affiliated with the Social Democratic Party (PSD). His political career reached a significant milestone when he served as the acting Prime Minister of Romania for a brief period from December twenty-first to December twenty-eighth in two thousand four. This appointment came in the wake of the resignation of former Prime Minister Adrian Năstase, who had just faced defeat in the presidential elections against Traian Băsescu.

Bejinariu's tenure as acting Prime Minister was marked by his swift confirmation by the newly elected President Traian Băsescu, who requested that he hold the office until a new prime minister could be appointed. His role was pivotal during this transitional phase, as he stepped in at the request of Năstase, who subsequently became the President of the Chamber of Deputies.

Prior to his brief stint as Prime Minister, Bejinariu held the position of Minister of Government Coordination in Năstase's cabinet.
