Eugene Czolij

Eugene Czolij, born on January first, nineteen fifty-nine, is a distinguished Canadian lawyer of Ukrainian descent. His career is marked by significant contributions to both the legal field and the Ukrainian community, where he has emerged as a prominent public figure.

From two thousand eight to two thousand eighteen, Czolij served as the elected president of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), an organization dedicated to representing the interests of Ukrainians worldwide. His leadership during this period was pivotal in strengthening the global Ukrainian community and advocating for their rights.

Prior to his role at the UWC, Czolij was the president of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) from nineteen ninety-eight to two thousand four. His tenure at the UCC was characterized by efforts to enhance the visibility and influence of Ukrainian Canadians in Canada.
