Eugène Philippe LaRocque

Eugène Philippe LaRocque, born on March twenty-seventh, nineteen twenty-seven, was a distinguished Canadian Catholic priest who dedicated his life to serving the Church and its community. His journey in the clergy culminated in his role as the Bishop of Alexandria-Cornwall, a position he held with grace and commitment from nineteen seventy-four until two thousand two.

Throughout his tenure, LaRocque was not only a spiritual leader but also an influential figure within the broader Catholic community. He served as the State Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus in Ontario from nineteen seventy-seven to nineteen eighty-seven, fostering a strong connection between the organization and the Church.

In addition to his chaplaincy, LaRocque took on the role of President of the Assembly of Catholic Bishops of Ontario from nineteen ninety-three to nineteen ninety-seven.
