Euphemia of Pomerania, born in the year 1285, was a significant figure in the history of Denmark as the Queen consort from 1320 to 1330. She was united in marriage to King Christopher II, a union that would see her navigate the tumultuous waters of a kingdom in disarray.
The daughter of Bogislaw IV, Duke of Pomerania, and Margarete of Rügen, Euphemia's life was marked by the challenges of her era. The period of her reign was characterized by chaos, with the kingdom facing dissolution and accumulating debts that would overshadow her time as queen.
Despite the difficulties, Euphemia and Christopher II were blessed with at least six children, including notable figures such as Erik Christoffersen, Otto, Duke of Lolland and Estonia, and King Valdemar IV. Unfortunately, the chaotic nature of her reign has resulted in a scarcity of records, leaving much of her life shrouded in mystery.
