Eva de Goede

Eva de Goede, born on March 23, 1989, is a celebrated Dutch field hockey player renowned for her exceptional skills and achievements on the international stage. A triple Olympic champion, she played a pivotal role in securing gold medals for the Netherlands in the 2008, 2012, and 2020 Summer Olympics, alongside a silver medal at the 2016 Games. Her contributions to the sport were further highlighted when she was part of the Dutch squad that triumphed at the 2007 Champions Trophy.

Throughout her illustrious career, Eva showcased her talents as a midfielder for the Dutch club AH&BC from 2010 until 2021, before transitioning to HGC. Her outstanding performances earned her the prestigious title of FIH Player of the Year at the 2018 Hockey Stars Awards, a recognition she successfully claimed again in February 2020, marking her as one of the top players in the sport.

In 2022, Eva celebrated a personal milestone by marrying South African field hockey player Tim Drummond. However, her journey with the Dutch national team came to a close when she was not selected for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, concluding an impressive international career that saw her amass two hundred sixty-six appearances, making her the second-highest in the Dutch all-time records.
