Evaldas Petrauskas

Evaldas Petrauskas, born on March nineteenth, nineteen ninety-two, is a distinguished Lithuanian boxer known for his remarkable achievements in the sport. He first gained international recognition when he represented Lithuania at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, where he showcased his talent by winning a gold medal.

His journey continued at the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships, where he faced a tough opponent in Jai Bhagwan from India, ultimately falling short in that match. However, Petrauskas rebounded by securing victory at the Olympic qualifier, which earned him a spot at the 2012 Summer Olympics held in London. There, he excelled in the men's lightweight division, bringing home a bronze medal.

Despite his earlier successes, the 2016 Olympics proved challenging for Petrauskas, as he was eliminated in his first match against Manoj Kumar. His career took a troubling turn on September twenty-second, twenty twenty-five, when he was arrested for possession of illegal drugs, leading to a two-year prison sentence.
