Evelyn Acham

Evelyn Acham, born on June fifteenth, nineteen ninety-one, is a prominent climate justice activist hailing from Kampala, Uganda. With a deep commitment to environmental advocacy, she has emerged as a leading voice in the fight against climate change, particularly in her home country.

As the national Ugandan coordinator of the Rise Up Movement, Evelyn plays a pivotal role in mobilizing communities and raising awareness about the urgent need for climate action. This movement, founded by her friend and fellow organizer Vanessa Nakate, aims to empower individuals and communities to demand justice and accountability from those in power.
